Vice President Private Equity - U.S.

On-site
  • Boston, Massachusetts, United States
USA

Job description

Egeria Boston is looking for a Vice President to join the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to use your passion for entrepreneurship and investing within Private Equity. You will be challenged to develop quickly by actively participating in building a new private equity business in the U.S. and working with the firm’s current U.S. portfolio.

About the Vice President Role

As a Vice President, you are a senior member of the firm and a key participant in both growing the organization and completing transactions.

On the transaction side, you are responsible for the entire investment process; from finding new investment opportunities, further expanding the companies to selling a portfolio company. You develop your own investment proposals, market analyses and manage the sourcing. You are able to independently manage a deal (purchase and sale) and you report in outline to a partner. You will assess strategies, financial models, conduct due diligence and arrange bank financing.

In the post-deal phase, you will work on creating winning management teams, implementing and monitoring the value creation agenda, performance analyses, strategy, add-on acquisitions and recapitalizations. You are responsible, in the role of shareholder, for 2 to 3 portfolio companies and are the first day-to-day point of contact for management teams (CEO/CFO) of the portfolio companies.

In addition, you will have an important role in managing, developing and coaching the Associates. For the involvement in the portfolio companies and transactions, the team consists of a partner, an investment manager (VP) and an associate.

When you work at Egeria, you are part of a family. We are focused on results, but we think it is just as important how we achieve that result. By building together, learning from each other and celebrating successes together. There is a lot of room for personal development and training.
